Australia’s number one coach tour operator, AAT Kings (www.aatkings.com.au), has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor for its consistently high ratings of its Uluru Day Tours.

This prestigious award places AAT Kings in the top-performing 10% of all businesses worldwide on the online review site and is given to companies that regularly earn high ratings from TripAdvisor travellers.

In order to qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

Anthony Hayes, Global Managing Director, AAT Kings said: “For over 85 years AAT Kings has taken travellers on unique expeditions around Australia, and our team of passionate people pride themselves on delivering truly memorable and authentic holidays for all those who travel with us.

“We believe the key difference between AAT Kings and other operators is the quality of our staff. This award is wonderful recognition for the passion and enthusiasm of our people as they strive to represent the very best that Australia and New Zealand has to offer. In turn, this accolade highlights our ongoing commitment to showcasing the very best of both destinations and is testament to the significant community investments and product developments we’ve made, particularly within the Red Centre.

“Recognised as one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park attracts more than 250,000 visitors annually[i] from across Australia as well as internationally, thus making this award even more significant as it demonstrates that our hard work is translating into positive feedback as seen on TripAdvisor.”

The 2013/14 Uluru Day Tours program includes more than 10 half and full day trips and aims to provide travellers with more immersive adventures capturing all there is to see and do in Uluru, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and Kings Canyon. A tour that has resonated particularly well with visitors to the Red Centre is The Rising Sun - an indigenous experience that provides a unique insight into the local Aboriginal culture of the Anangu people and supports the Mutitjulu community. On this half day tour, travellers are led by an indigenous guide and learn traditional bush skills, hear legendary stories around the campfire, walk around the base of Uluru and witness a breathtaking sunrise before enjoying a sumptuous breakfast.

AAT Kings is also the only tour operator to be given exclusive access to provide an intimate barbecue dinner at the base of Uluru within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This after-hours dining occasion represents a major upgrade to the company’s products and catering facilities, and is a key highlight and a must for all visitors when in the area. Among the range of exciting enhancements that have been included in this latest program, AAT Kings’ sunrise and sunset catering facilities have also undergone a major upgrade.

To further complement the brand's stronghold in the Red Centre, AAT Kings' continues to maintain its high quality services with several state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned coaches introduced this year to provide holiday-makers with a more comfortable travel experience. Helping to showcase the beauty and history of Uluru and its surrounds to travellers are AAT Kings friendly and professional Driver Guides who are always on hand to provide expert knowledge and make every person’s trip positively enjoyable.
